We come to where you are.
To your home, to the hospital, to the care home. Our volunteer hospice companions have time, they listen, and they stay as long as they are needed.

For every person in their last phase of life.
We visit seriously ill and dying people at home, in hospital and in care homes. We sit by the bed, read aloud, listen, hold a hand or are simply quietly there. What is needed is decided by the person we accompany.
We are also there for the family. As someone to talk to about worries and fears, as relief for a few hours, as someone who already knows the road.

One phone call is enough.
1 You call us
You reach our coordinators on the hospice phone. We only take requests for an accompaniment by phone, because we want to hear you in person.
2 We come to see you
A coordinator visits you and talks calmly about what you wish for and what is possible. Then we look for the right companion.
3 Someone is there
The accompaniment begins. Regularly, reliably, for as long as it is needed. Everything stays confidential.

Trained, prepared, supported.
Our volunteers have completed a qualification course according to § 39a of the German social code. Half a year long, on weekends and evenings, with a work placement. Afterwards they continue to be supported, in team days, training and exchange with each other.
In addition there are three coordinators and palliative care specialists, a palliative physician, four trained children’s hospice helpers, a companion for stillbirth and miscarriage, and seventeen grief counsellors.
Would you like to accompany people yourself? A new course starts every year.
